S.W. Anderson Co. acquired OEM Fastening Systems of Lawrenceville, GA, effective November 1, 2020. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1969, OEM was purchased by current president Tom Smith. OEM assists design and manufacturing engineers in the automotive, appliance, and outdoor power equipment markets with fasteners, tooling and tooling repairs. Web: OEMfast.com
“This acquisition will provide several advantages for both companies, including: OEM customers will now have access to a broader line of products and services; the OEM team will benefit from being part of a larger team all dedicated to providing expert services and solutions to their customers; S.W. Anderson gains the experience that OEM has developed over the years; (and) S.W. Anderson gains a presence in the Southeastern US geographical market,” stated SW Anderson president Jim Degnan.
“This is an exciting time as we move forward in our vision to grow S.W. Anderson into a nationally recognized, value-added distributor of engineered components,” Degnan added.
Founded in 1926 by Stanley Anderson as an engineering rep, S.W. Anderson Co. became a fastener distributor in 1949. The company has branches in California, Minnesota, Missouri and Ohio, and is headquartered in Downers Grove, IL. Web: Swaco.com
