Grainger promoted two executives, effective immediately.

Deidra (Dee) Merriwether, currently senior VP and president of North American Sales and Services, has been named CFO.

Merriwether joined Grainger in 2013 as head of North America Finance and became head of U.S. Direct Sales and Pricing in 2017. In 2020, she was named SVP and president of North American Sales.  Prior to joining Grainger, Merriwether worked for Sears Holdings, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Eli Lilly.

“Dee is a proven executive with a track record of delivering profitable growth,” stated CEO DG Macpherson.  “Her financial expertise and deep understanding of Grainger’s business operations will serve the company well.”

Grainger also promoted SVP and Chief Technology, Merchandising, Marketing and Strategy Officer Paige Robbins to SVP and president of the Grainger Business Unit, comprised of Grainger businesses in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Robbins joined Grainger in 2010 and has led the Global Supply Chain, Branch Network, Customer Service Centers, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Merchandising and the Grainger Technology Group. Previously she served as managing director of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she specialized in industrial companies.
