Kim and Simpson

Semblex Corp. and its parent company, Jinhap Company, Ltd., promoted Semblex president Jinsoo Kim to lead Jinhap’s international business, and Gene Simpson is the new Semblex CEO.

Kim will oversee operations outside of Korea, which include Jinhap companies in China and Semblex in the U.S. He will relocate to Korea. Kim has been at Semblex since it was acquired by South Korean fastener manufacturer Jinhap in 2014. Before becoming CEO and president in March 2019, he served as COO of Semblex.  

COO Gene Simpson is the new Illinois-based Semblex CEO and president. Simpson has held key management positions at Semblex over the last 29 years, including VP of quality & engineering and director of engineering services.
