Anixter Fastener Segment Sales Decline
Anixter International reported first quarter sales at its North American OEM Supply segment, including Anixter Fasteners, dropped 10% to $131.2 million. The segment was the company’s top performer in 2009, falling 5% to $506.8 million.
Europe OEM Supply sales, including fasteners, gained 9% to $92.6 million during the opening quarter. In 2009 European OEM Supply sales, including fasteners, dropped 34.5% to $398.1 million, which included a Q4 sales decline of 23% to $94.9 million.
Overall Q1 sales at Anixter were flat at $1.27 billion, while operating income remained stable at $57 million. ©2010 GlobalFastenerNews.com
