Amy Nijjar is the new executive VP of the National Fastener Distributors Association and the Pacific-West Fastener Association.

The positions are listed on the NFDA website and Nijjar said an official announcement will be later this year.

Nijjar succeeds Vickie Lester, who took the role of deputy executive director. Lester has been the executive for NFDA since 2012. She has managed fastener associations since 1986, starting with the Western Association of Fastener Distributors and Los Angeles Fastener Association. WAFD and LAFA became the Pacific-West Fastener Association in 2009.

Nijjar previously was executive director of the Independent Pool & Spa Service Association from 2012 to 2018 when it was directed by Lester Management.

According to NFDA-fastener.org, Nijjar’s responsibilities include executive management, membership, newsletter advertising and content, handling news and member benefits.

The NFDA staff also includes Jamie Adams, meetings and events manager; Claudia Schuetze, bookkeeper; and Meredith Lea, marketing.
