Two Ohio companies, Edward W. Daniel LLC and Cleveland City Forge have merged.

Founded in 1864 as Cleveland City Forge & Iron Company by industrialists L.M. Coe, George B. Ely and  R.E. Harman, the company initially produced forged iron and steel products for the Lake Erie marine industry. Today Cleveland City Forge manufactures standard and custom structural hardware for the construction, energy, lifting and rigging, and other industrial markets.

EW Daniel manufactures and distributes 2,500 domestic and imported commercial hardware products for automotive, chemical, elevators, equipment manufacturing, metals and mining, pressure vessels, rigging and other industries. The company was founded  in 1921 by Edward W. Daniel to manufacture hardware used by the Great Lakes marine industry.
