Allan Guthrie of DXP Enterprises is the 2022 president of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association and Harry Klassen of Fastek Inc. is vice president.

Guthrie, director of strategic sourcing at DXP of Omaha, NE, succeeds Brian Gersten of On Time Supply Inc. of Suffern, NY, who takes the past president role.

DXP is an Industrial Distribution Top 20 Company.

Klassen is president and owner of the St. Catharines, Ontario, Fastek.  The distributor specializes in fasteners, power tools and safety supplies with three stores and two mobile units.

Maria Cipponeri Polidoro, Act Tool Repair Inc. of Wantagh, NY, was elected to the STAFDA board and Lenny Colasuonno of Aerosmith Fastening Systems of Indianapolis joined the Manufacturer liaison committee.

The 45th annual convention in Orlando drew “nearly 2,400” participants with a downsized trade show of 267 exhibitors.

STAFDA members from outside the U.S. were unable to attend the October 2021 convention in Orlando due to pandemic restrictions.
