The Industrial Fasteners Institute announced that Preston Boyd is the new manager of the Industrial Products Division. Boyd succeeds former Hill Fastener chairman Bob Hill, who retired from the IFI at the end of 2021.
Boyd’s focus will be on division members’ needs, consulting on new membership programs, industry outreach and new member recruitment.
Boyd was the 2017-2018 IFI chair.
“Preston brings with him an impressive resume of fastener industry experience,” IFI managing director Dan Walker. “He has worked in executive management with several fastener manufacturing companies throughout his career. And, he also has extensive experience with the IFI in volunteer roles as an active member of the Institute.”
Boyd’s fastener industry roles were being president and COO, which he joined in 2006 from Lawrence Hardware LLC. He most recently was business development manager for Cetin Civata, a Turkish fastener manager.
Founded in 1931, the IFI represents North American manufacturers of mechanical fasteners and formed parts, as well as the key suppliers to the industry Web: indfast.org
