Fastener SuperStore 2010 Sales Running 40% Over 2009
FastenerSuperStore.com reported first half of 2010 sales were up 40% during the online distributor’s 10th year. First quarter sales rose 39%, followed by a 45% increase for Q2. June sales were 84% up.
“I can’t speak for the rest of the industry, but from our perspective, the fastener market is thriving,” founder and president Greg Fields said.
Even having just weathered some of the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression, Fields say his company has never experienced negative year-to-year growth during their ten years of operation.
FastenerSuperStore recently upgraded business management software, he added.
Fields began his fastener career with EFC International. He created Carver Industrial Products in 1998 as a specialty fastener supplier and then launched e-fastener.com as a web portal. E-fastener.com was purchased by Partini Inc. in 2000, but Fields retained E-Fastener when Partini folded during the dot.com melt down. In 2001 Fields combined Carver, E-Fastener and Partini concepts to launch FastenerSuperStore.com. Today Fields reports 18,000 registered buyers and 30,000 products in stock
