UZPS Reports Russian Fastener Demand Up 22%
NLMK production facilities in Russia
The Ural Plant of Precision Alloys reported first half of 2010 sales of metal products increased 22% from 2009 to 104,000 tons.
UZPS is a part of NLMK-Sort of NLMK Group.
Increased delivery was attributed to increased demand but an expanded range of UZPS products.
Wire increased 21% to 82,000 tons and nail output was up 24% to 22,000 tons.
UZPS sold 800 tons of self-tapping screws, compared with 2009 sales of 20 tons, Fasteners, Adhesives, Tool and ” magazine reported.
Exports of metal products increased by one third to 89,000 tons.
In 2010 UZPS anticipates selling ore than 200,000 tons of metal products or a 6% increase from 2009.
