FIN Launches New Fastener Industry Resource

News, Features and Technical Articles and the 2011 FIN Calendar are now available at the GlobalFastenerNews.com Article Store. For the first time individual FIN articles are available online.
 

Thanks to the new Article Store, a variety of published items — from news articles, features, technical articles, fastener stock reports and the 2011 FIN Calendar — are available.
 

While most articles will remain exclusive for FIN subscribers, some broader interest articles will be posted in the Article Store for individual purchase.
 

In addition to FIN articles, technical and other articles by outside authors are available. Technical writers may submit articles to sell on the Article Store.
 

For example, Bengt Blendulf, president of EduPro US, a fastener engineering education and consulting firm, has a variety of technical articles available.
 

Blendulf, in the mechanical and metalworking field since 1961, offers technical articles on topics such as external force acting on a mechanical joint; balancing strength within a mechanical joint; the one type of fastener failure that gives no warning; in-place-cost in fastener selection; and clamping force load capacities.
 

In the past, subscribers received the annual FIN Stock Report and non-subscribers could buy the full report for $95.  Now you can buy individual company stock reports for $10.
 

For example, the Anixter International report totals 502 words and includes a summary 2009 and 2008 fastener results.  There is a breakdown of North American and European sales and major changes such as acquisitions and division consolidations. It gives Anixter’s fastener history dating back to the 2002 acquisition of Pentacon for $111.4 million.
 

FIN subscribers will continue to receive news and special reports.
 

Articles posted in the Fastener History section of GlobalFastenerNews.com and the Obituaries from 1979 to 2010 are free anytime.
