Orbitform Adds Hot Upset Riveting Capability
Orbitform Group added Hot Upset Riveting to its forming and fastening capabilities, business development manager Sean Cumming announced.
Hot Upset Riveting is a process combining electrical current with pressure and time to compress and expand the forming material or rivet to a desired diameter or shape. Applications include assembly of hardened materials such as automotive door strikers, ball studs and products designed to resist high torque.
Orbitform already offered orbital forming, spiral forming, roller forming, impact riveting, robotic MIG welding and resistance welding processes and products.
Orbitform recently received ISO 9001:2008 quality management certification.
