Anixter Fastener Segment Sales Grow

Anixter International reported OEM Supply sales, including Anixter Fasteners, grew 21% in the first quarter of 2011.

U.S. OEM Supply revenue achieved 10% organic growth to $144.4 million during Q1.

OEM sales in Europe jumped 33.8% to $123.9 million during the period. 
 

In 2010 U.S. OEM supply sales increased 2% to $532.9 million, while OEM sales in Europe gained 30% to $392.3 million.
 
 

“We are very pleased with the well-balanced sales performance across all reporting segments,” stated CEO Robert Eck. “Sales growth by end market was also robust.”
 
 

Overall Anixter Q1 sales grew 19% to $1.52 billion, while operating income soared 46% to $83.1 million and net income increased to $44.3 million. ©2011 GlobalFastenerNews.com
