Bryce Security Fasteners Developed to Protect Solar Panels in Hawaii

Bryce Fastener Inc. teamed up with SnapNRack to produce anti-theft racking mounts for solar ground mount project on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. The solar panels will power 300 Kauai homes.
The decades long life-span of solar panels and remote locations make them targets for theft, said SnapNRack senior design engineer Greg McPheeters.
The Bryce fasteners are integrated into the fixed tilt SnapNRack design, which is a mounting system to quicken installation, cover up exposed wires and meet wind and snow loading requirements. The Key-Rex fastener is used in place of standard fasteners throughout the clamps in the design.  The fastener is custom made to repel tools and vice grips. With millions of keyways no two customers own the same screw.
