NEWS BRIEFS
Wurth Service Supply is opening a logistics and distribution center in 25,000 square feet at 3002 W. Pawnee, the Wichita Eagle reports. The facility will create 10 new jobs.
The company reportedly received training incentives and tax credits from the state, but no local incentives.
“Wichita provides us with an excellent location to support our wind energy, agricultural and regional industrial customer base,” stated Wurth Service Supply CEO John Fuerst.
Wurth supplies fasteners to Siemens Energy in Hutchinson, but it also supplies Coleman and Agco.
Wurth “adds to Kansas’ growing cluster of wind energy businesses,” the Eagle reports.
“In today’s economy any deal is a big deal,” said Debra Teufel, a managing director of the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition. ©2011 GlobalFastenerNews.com
