Dörken Launches New Analytics Department

Dörken Corp. USA parent company Dörken MKS-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG, Herdecke (Germany) announced the opening of a new laboratoryin Grass Lake, MI, for the chemical analysis of its multi-functional, non-chrome micro layer corrosion protection systems. 

The new ‘Analytics Department’ will provide a key function between research and development and production by evaluating new formulas and refining analysis methods to better understand the ‘chemistry’ of the coatings in order to continually optimize product quality. 

Dörtken said batches will also be regularly taken out of the live production process and analyzed to ensure that Dörken’s global network of coating companies gets supplied with products of a consistently high quality.

“Along with the global development of our tech centers, the opening of the new Analytics Department is another step in reinforcing our position as leaders in zinc flake systems technology,” said Dr. Gerhard Reusmann, managing director. 

Dörken’s global coating solutions are approved for use by and meet the standards and specifications for corrosion protection, sealants, and lubricity performance of fasteners of vehicle manufacturers and Tier One suppliers worldwide. Its product development programs and manufacturing operations are certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and to ISO 14001.
