Hill Fastener Parent Company Announces Joint Venture

Tramec LLC announced a joint venture with Heavy Duty Suspension Suppliers Corp. (HDSS) in Mexico. 

The subsidiary is named Tramec HDSS LLC and is headquartered in Grapevine, TX.

The stand-alone business will provide heavy-duty suspension components from its distribution center in Grapevine to the commercial vehicle market in the U.S. and Canada. 

“This joint venture provides the addition of suspension components to Tramec’s existing air, electrical, brake and fastener product lines,” stated Tramec CEO Gary Sullo. “Existing and new customers will have an enhanced and expanded product line backed by Tramec’s nearly 40 years of industry experience, ingenuity and expertise.”

HDSS is comprised of four ISO-9001 certified suspension component manufacturers located in Mexico: JM Tor Par S.A. de C.V. – hot forged suspension nuts and bolts; Pratsa S.A. de C.V. – u-bolts and spring center bolts; Partes Para Bombas S.A. de C.V. (PARBO) – polyurethane and rubber suspension products; and Partes Herramientas y Maquinados S.A. de C.V. (PHM) – cast and machined suspension components. Each of these companies has more than 35 years  of experience designing and manufacturing suspension components. 

In April 2011 Tramec acquired Rock Falls, IL-based Hill Fastener Corp.

Tramec LLC services the heavy-duty tractor and trailer OEM and aftermarket businesses, and the industrial market. Tramec’s products include cold-formed lock nuts and specialty bolts, automatic brake adjusters, air brake and electrical components, assemblies, and related accessories.
