ACQUISITION: AIP Aerospace Acquires Brown Aerospace
AIP Aerospace acquired Kimball, MI-based Brown Aerospace, which provides automated drilling and fastening systems for the aerospace industry. Brown will operate as a business unit within the AIP Aerospace Tooling Group.
Founded in 2001, Brown Aerospace “is well-respected for the automated fastening solutions it provides to customers, such as Boeing, Spirit and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries,” AIP stated in a press release.
Brown Aerospace founder Mark Brown will continue as the Director of Operations. He has 20 years experience with complex aerospace drilling and fastening solutions, including expertise in engineering, operations and sales.
“We’re excited to welcome Brown Aerospace to the AIP Aerospace family,” stated AIP CEO Brian Williams. “Not only will Brown be a perfect fit with our existing customer base, it will allow us to offer full factory integrated systems that will drive incremental growth in our tooling business.”
