ACQUISITION: Holbrook Acquires Lake Erie’s Wood Dale

Holbrook Mfg. acquired Lake Erie Product”s L.E.P. Wood Dale small screw division.\
L.E.P. Wood Dale”s “capabilities and product offering mirror Holbrook”s,” according to a company statement. The acquisition adds capacity and manufacturing and service personnel.
Holbrook manufactures custom, licensed and standard cold-headed fasteners. Holbrook is headquartered in an 80,000 sq ft facility with more than 100 single and multi-die cold headers, thread rollers, shavers, slotters and drillers. The former owners of K-Tech Mfg. sold the company to Mascotech Inc. in 1998 and after three years left Mascotech to form Holbrook. Holbrook now includes K-Tech, Eskay and Lake Erie”s Wood Dale. Holbrook is headed by CEO Don Kuhns and president Gary VanderPoel.
Bloomfield, MI-based TriMas Corp. announced plans last year to sell its fastener business.
Lake Erie Products, which includes Entegra Fastener and Lake Erie Screw, manufactures small specialty and custom fasteners and build-to-print large-diameter fasteners. The company operates facilities in Frankfort, IN, where it is headquartered; Wood Dale, IL; Lakewood, OH; and Livonia, MI.
