ACQUISITION: Nedschroef To Buy Spanish Bolt Maker

Jason Sandefur

Dutch tool and fastener maker Royal Nedschroef Holding has agreed to buy Spanish bolt producer Ferre Plana for an undisclosed sum, Dutch News Digest reports.
Barcelona-based Ferre Plana has 80 employees and reported revenue of Euro 11 million (US$14.1m) in 2005. The company produces automotive fasteners, primarily for the French and Spanish markets.
The takeover is not expected to have a material impact on Nedschroef results for 2006, but should start adding annual revenue growth of Euro 7 million (US$9m) in 2007. \ 2006 FastenerNews.com
