ACQUISITION: Rotor Clip Acquires Truarc
Rotor Clip Company Inc. acquired the assets of Truarc LLC. Truarc, also known as Waldes Truarc, manufactures retaining rings, circlips and custom stampings.
Somerset, NJ-based Rotor Clip manufactures retaining rings, hose clamps, spiral rings and wave springs.
Rotor Clip purchased the patents; copyrights; registered trademarks – including the Industrial Retaining Ring brand name and logo; machinery; quality documentation; and original Waldes Truarc tooling.
Rotor Clip did not purchase Truarc’s finished goods inventory and is not responsible for pending orders or paperwork/certification for any orders previously shipped by Truarc.
Rotor Clip will meet anticipated volume increase from its 238,000 sq ft Somerset manufacturing facility.
Rotor Clip was founded in 1957 by Robert Slass in Farmingdale, NY, in a 2,000 sq ft building. The company moved to the Bronx, NY in the early 1960’s and relocated to Somerset in 1972. Jonathan Slass and Craig Slass, the founder’s sons, hold active roles in the company.
Rotor Clip also has operations in Sheffield, England, and sales offices in Germany. Rotor Clip is headquartered at 187 Davidson Ave., Somerset, NJ 08873.
Rotor Clip manufactures retaining rings; plus constant section rings; and supplies installation tools including applicators, pliers, dispensers and automated assembly equipment.
