ACQUISITION: Textron Acquires Rego Mold

Textron Fastening Systems acquired Rego Mold & Tool, a supplier of primary tooling and plastic injection-molded components.\ Financial terms weren�t disclosed.
Textron reported Rego had revenue of about $10 million in 1999. Textron�s Advanced Solutions group, which serves the wireless, business equipment and medical industries, will absorb the acquisition.
Textron said the acquisition allows the company to reduce product development cycle times by applying Rego�s mold engineering, development and production capabilities.
Troy, MI-based Textron Fastening is a $2 billion division of Providence, RI-based Textron Inc. The parent company reported revenue of $11.58 billion in 1999 and has operations in aircraft, automotive, industrial and finance sectors.
