Birmingham Fastener has acquired rubber gasket supplier Champion Sales and Manufacturing, Inc. for an undisclosed sum. The deal enables Birmingham and its sister companies to expand product and service offering.

Equity Firm Acquires Auveco
GHK Capital Partners LP completed its acquisition of industrial fastener manufacturer Auveco for an undisclosed sum. 

Founded in 1916, Cold Spring, KY-based Auveco supplies automotive fasteners to the body hardware aftermarket as well as general industrial fasteners used in MRO applications in North America. Web: Auveco.com

PrimeSource Acquires Axxis
Residential building products supplier PrimeSource Brands has acquired Axxis, LLC for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2008, Schaumburg, IL-based Axxis manufactures and distributes fastening tools and fasteners for industrial, packaging and wood-to-wood applications — primarily under the Complete and KlinchPak brands — to STAFDA distribution and packaging houses. Web: Axxisus.com

The deal enhances PrimeSource’s portfolio of branded fasteners and related fastening tools.  Axxis CEO Carl Schneider will remain involved as part of the PrimeSource team focused on accelerating Axxis’ growth.

Adept Fasteners acquired Innovative Tooling Services to strengthen Adept’s position in the aerospace fastener market. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

UPM Adds Additive Mfg. Facility
United Performance Metals opened its additive solutions center at its Ohio headquarters. The facility produces stainless steel, nickel and titanium build plates.

UPM Additive provides supply chain solutions for the additive manufacturing market – from feedstock supply management to finished part manufacturing. The company also refurbishes build plates through additional milling and grinding, and wire EDM build plate removal.
