ACQUISITIONS: Shannon Acquires Emerald Steel Processing

Emerald Steel Processing was sold to Shannon Precision Fasteners LLC. Founded in 2001 by Chuck O’Brien and Linda O’Brien, Emerald provided steel processing for cold heading.

 

O’Brien died in 2007 at age 66 and the company was sold by Linda O’Brien.

He had been president of Ring Screw Works in Madison Heights, MI, before selling the company to Textron Inc. on 1998. Chuck O’Brien was the 1991-92 chairman of the Industrial Fasteners Institute.

Shannon Precision Fastener was formed in 2004 and manufactures bolts, cap screws, studs and washers for power trains, chassis parts and seat belts. Shannon has five die progressive cold formers.
