Acument Names Torx Drive System Quality Award Winners for 2015

Acument Global Technologies Inc. announced six drive tool and 17 fastener manufacturers from eight countries as the 2015 winners of its Torx Drive System World Class Quality Awards. 

Acument’s Torx is one of the largest and longest- running intellectual property licensing programs in the fastening industry.

Acument established the annual award program in 2005 to recognize its high-performing and qualified licensees. 

The manufacturers are in China, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United States. 

Torx Drive Tool 2015 honoree licensees: Hazet-Werk, Remscheid, Germany (third time);  Felo-Werkzeugfabrik, Holland-Letz GmbH Germany (sixth time); Pratt-Read LLC, Sycamore, Illinois, USA (third time); Robert Schroeder GmbH, Germany (ninth time); Western Forge, USA (sixth time); and Yih Cheng Factory Co. Ltd, Nantou, Taiwan, ROC (third time).

The Torx award program’s “global participation represents the reach of Acument’s technology licensing activity and the extensive adoption of our TORX® Drive System by the world’s leading manufacturing markets,” director of intellectual property and licensing Marty Bieschke said. “These companies achieved this distinction in 2015 indicating dedication to continuous improvement by these world class companies.” 

Introduced in the 1960s, the Torx Drive System is a high-performance drive system for threaded assemblies in a broad range of applications and end-use markets. Qualified licensed manufacturers apply Torx and Acument’s Torx Plus drive system for applications in automotive, industrial, electronics, aerospace, and other markets.
