AFC Industries has acquired Iowa-based Cline Tool, a custom tool manufacturer and VMI supply integrator. Terms of the deal, the second AFC acquisition this year, were not disclosed.
AFC acquired Reno based Master Fasteners in February. The acquisition of Cline Tool is the 13th acquisition under the current AFC management team and the first since recapitalizing with Bertram Capital Management.
Founded in 1948, Cline Tool provides tool design, manufacturing and full-service supply integration and VMI solutions for tools and other components used in manufacturing plants. Cline has facilities in Iowa, Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, and Indiana. Web: clinetool.com
“The value AFC brings is that we make manufacturing and assembly plants more efficient by helping them manage their supply chain and logistics,” stated AFC CEO Kevin Godin. “Cline expands our capability for doing that by deepening our expertise in the tooling and vending segments of our business.”
Cline CEO Jim Long added, “In AFC we have found a partner who truly understands what has made us successful and is committed to building on it. We are excited to be part of the AFC family. The combined capabilities of AFC and Cline will allow us to provide a unique set of solutions to our customers and success to our employees and partners.”
