Pittsburgh-based AFC Industries acquired R&E Fastener of Reno, NV. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
R&E is a full-service distributor of fasteners and value-added supply chain services.
“The acquisition of R&E compliments the product and service profile of AFC’s other businesses and adds multiple locations in the western U.S. to the AFC footprint,” AFC stated.
AFC CEO Kevin Godin noted that AFC would continue to expand in the fastener industry through acquisition where it adds value for customers.
AFC provides fastening and other assembly components through VMI programs to OEMs and assembly plants. AFC’s service offerings include testing, quality assurance, assembly, kitting, packaging and private labeling.
AFC employs more than 75 workers at six locations, including Advanced Fastener, Eckart & Finard, Dell Fastener Corp., and Gateway Fasteners.
AFC is owned by Pittsburgh private equity firm Incline Equity Partners, which acquired the company in 2015. Web: afcholdings.com
