Agrati France Inaugurates Logistics Center
Automotive OEM supplier Agrati France opened a 38,750 sq ft logistics operation in Avressieux, Val Guiers, Fastener + Fixing Magazine reports.
“Twenty five employees have transferred to the new site with a further 130 expected to transfer from La Bridoire by 2019, by which time the new site will have (172,200 sq ft) of covered area including production,” according to Fastener + Fixing.
Agrati reportedly aim to nearly double sales from the operation to EUR 40 million “on the back of a 6 million euro investment in new technology.”
The new operation is targeted the German automotive market, adding potential supply deals with Mercedes and VW in addition to its current business with BMW and Bosch.
Agrati France is a division of A. Agrati S.p.A, which was founded in 1939 and provides fastening technology all over the world with a primary focus on automotive applications.
Entities in the group include Agrati France; Agrati AFP-CVB, which specializes in advanced formed parts produced by the combination of complex cold forging technology and high precision mechanical operations; China-based YAF, located in Yantai, Laishan District, with sales and technical offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha and Changchun with the aim to support the automotive customers from commercial, technical and quality point of view; and Agrati FSP, a logistic service provider of fasteners solutions.
