Anixter Fasteners Segment Achieves Strong Global Gains

Anixter International reported revenue at its U.S. OEM Supply segment, including Anixter Fasteners, achieved 15.7% growth to $152.6 million during the second quarter of 2011.
 

OEM Supply sales in Europe rose 21.7% to $113.6 million during Q2, while emerging markets saw revenue rise 26.7% to $167 million.
 

“Sales growth by end market was also robust, with both our Electrical Wire & Cable and OEM Supply end markets delivering a 25% improvement year-on-year,” stated CEO Robert Eck.
 

Overall second-quarter Anixter sales increased 10.1% to $1.5 billion.
 

Six-month U.S. OEM sales gained 12.9% to $297 million, while European revenue improved 27.7% to $237.5 million.
