ARaymond plans to build its North American headquarters in Rochester Hills, MI, the Detroit News reports.
The $17.3 facility, which will include an engineering lab, is expected to add 71 jobs over a five-year period, according to the Detroit News.
The French fastener manufacturer reportedly chose Michigan over a competing site in Ohio, backed by several hundred thousand dollars of support from the Michigan Strategic Fund.
ARaymond provides metal processing, plastic injection molding, and adhesives, plus metal and plastic parts for the automotive and heavy truck industries, industrial, energy, agriculture and medical life sciences.
Headquartered in Grenoble, France, ARaymond has 6,200 employees at 26 production sites and 11 design offices. Global sales topped $1 billion. Web: araymond.com
