ARaymond unveiled a plant in Casablanca (Morocco) on January 18 and is due to open a plant in San Luis Potosi (Mexico) in April.
Those facilities are the latest of a dozen plants the French fastener manufacturer has built in the past two years.
“We don’t relocate the manufacture of our parts, we produce locally for the domestic market,” stated CEO Antoine Raymond.
A decade ago, the company decided to create a global network of independent companies.
“We’re convinced that this type of structure enables skills and ideas to be shared, as it’s flexible and adaptable to each country’s needs,” Raymond explained.
With Mexico, ARaymond Tinnerman Aims to Expand in Central America
In 2009, ARaymond acquired the U.S. company Tinnerman Palnut Engineered Products, consolidating its U.S. presence. With five plants, the production process encompasses a range of metal and plastic parts for Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
“This new plant in San Luis Potosi will enable the Network to expand its business in Central American countries by producing and shipping locally,” the company stated.
Production is set to begin in April 2017 to produce injection-molded fasteners, plastic assemblies and over-molded components for local consumption.
Founded in 1865, ARaymond manufactures fasteners for automotive, truck, industrial, energy and agricultural markets. Web: araymond.com
