ASG Names Global Product Group Manager for Precision Fastening Line
ASG, a division of specialty fastener manufacturer Jergens Inc., appointed Neil Maniccia to the newly created position of global product group manager for their Precision Fastening Line of products.
The Precision Fastening Line was created following the acquisition of MicroTorq LLC in 2010.
“This appointment comes at a critical time for our business,” explained ASG general manager Bryon Shafer. “With economic conditions improving, assembly tool budgets are increasing and to having a proven industry professional leading this part of our business is a huge asset for us. Neil will bring much needed leadership and direction to this expanding portion of our business.”
Maniccia has been working in assembly technologies for over 11 years and is one of ASG’s leading authorities on controlled fastening solutions. His experience working with Tier I, Tier II automotive assembly, truck assembly and general industry facilities brings knowledge of controlled fastening integration to line process control, the company added.
“Neil’s primary responsibility will be to provide complete fastening solutions to an increasingly quality conscious customer base in the critical / controlled fastening markets, such as automotive, aerospace and medical assembly industries,” Shafer explained.
