Atlantic Fasteners Becomes Master Distributor for Aerospace Fasteners
Atlantic Fasteners’ aerospace division has become a master distributor for a high-strength aerospace fastener line and is tripling its warehouse space.
The new line of A286 socket head cap screws is widely used in aerospace, military and defense and can often be difficult to source economically in small quantities, according to aerospace director Marc Dionne .
Nearly all socket head manufacturers and distributors are on the west coast, require $150 to $350 minimum orders and charge for necessary certification paperwork, Dionne said. Atlantic requires only a $35 minimum order and provides certifications at no charge.
The firm said it has made a significant investment in inventory.
Atlantic’s aerospace division is an AS9120 certified wholesaler, which specializes in vendor-managed inventory programs nationwide. It is a Lockheed STAR award winner and double recipient of the Richmond, Virginia Defense Supply Center Gold Medalist Supplier Award. The aerospace division has offices in West Springfield, MA, Portland, ME and St. Louis, Mo.
