Aviall’s Military Sales Up 900%

Aviall Inc.�s military sales rose nearly 900% compared with the previous year and now account for 43% of revenue.
When compared to 2001, Aviall�s year-over-year net earnings from continuing operations grew 670% to $26.7 million for 2002. Sales rose 59% to $803.3 million.
Fourth quarter 2002 net earnings were up $12.3 million and for the full year rose $23.2 million.
Aviall revenue grew 93% year-over-year in the fourth quarter and 59% for the full year.
In addition to “excellent penetration into the robust military and defense parts replenishment area,” Aviall reported increases in both recreational and business portions of the general aviation aftermarket parts sales.
