AZZ Inc. acquired Tennessee Galvanizing Inc and K2 Partners Inc.

Tennessee Galvanizing was founded in 1991 in southeastern Tennessee as a regional provider of galvanizing services. The company operates centrifuge, rod, conveyor and traditional hot-dip galvanizing lines. The company will begin operating as AZZ Galvanizing – Chattanooga.  Tennessee Galvanizing has been led by CEO David Ware and sales executive Paul Skiles and is located at 1535 Industrial Blvd., Jasper, TN 37347. K2 Partners Inc., led by CEO David Bridgforth, was a privately-held Florida corporation. K2 has provided regional powder coating and electroplating services in Texas and Florida since 1994. K2 includes Centrix Powder Coating in Tampa FL and the powder coating and electroplating operations of Cimcon Finishing in Garland, TX. AZZ surface technologies division senior vice president Michael Doucet commented that the K2 acquisition “expands our geographical reach in metal coating services and broadens our service offerings in strategic markets. The K2 facility in Texas is ideally located to increase our ability to service customers in Texas and into the Midwest, while their operation in Florida expands AZZ’s capability to provide metal coating services to customers in the Southeast.”
