Bader, Hepner & Vass on NFDA Program

Keynoter Jason Bader will discuss the fastener supply chain at the National Fastener Distributors Association fall city meeting October 24-26, 2007, in Chicago.\
Bader, of the Distribution Team, will give the keynote address on “Enhancing the Supply Chain in NFDA” on Friday. Bader, a former distributor and former president of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association, is preparing for the keynote by interviewing NFDA distributors. Following Bader”s presentation there will be a panel of NFDA members
Jeff Hepner and Steve Vass will lead a one-day fastener manufacturing workshop on Wednesday. Designed for employees new to the fastener industry or those who have never visited a fastener plant. Participants will learn the entire manufacturing process, from raw material through manufacturing, heat treating, plating and testing.
Sam Geist will speak on “Why Should Someone Do Business With You&Rather than Someone Else?” Geist grew a sporting goods store into a 15-store chain before selling to a competitor and opening a marketing & consulting agency.
There is a new format for the NFDA Executive Sales & Planning Sessions. Exhibitors will have 10 appointment sessions with NFDA distributor members in a hall with exhibit booths. ESPS exhibiting is limited to NFDA members and as of August 22, NFDA listed 40 exhibiting companies.
There will be an opening reception will be on the exhibit floor Wednesday evening, and an exhibitor “de-brief” meeting after ESPS.
