B/E Aerospace Results Jump

Robust market conditions helped B/E Aerospace achieve a 45.1% gain in Distribution segment sales, including fasteners, to $93.3 million during the third quarter of 2007. Distribution operating income soared 66% to $21.4 million. Distribution segment results reflect “a significant expansion in product line, a broad-based increase in aftermarket demand for aerospace fasteners, a channel shift from OEMs to subcontractors, which tend to acquire fasteners from distributors, and continued market share gains,” the company stated.
Distribution revenue during the first nine months of 2007 soared 65.6% to $286.5 million, while income jumped 72% to $62.9 million.
Overall Q3 revenue rose 48.7% to $428.2 million, and operating income gained 62.5% to $63.2 million. Nine-month revenue increased 50.5% to $1.21 billion, with operating earnings growing 70% to $179.1 million. Web: beaerospace.com �2007 FastenerNews.com
