Jim Beckstein of Fort Wayne, IN-based Mill Supplies Inc. is the 2002 president of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association.
Jason Bader of Portland, OR-based Acme Construction Supply was named vice president at STAFDA�s 25th anniversary convention in San Antonio.
Beckstein succeeds Jim Smith of Albuquerque, NM-based Nail Fast Inc.
Rebecca Branson of Indianapolis, IN-based Threaded Rod and David Cole, American Tool, Vernon Hills, IL, were named to the Manufacturer�s Liaison Committee. Marshall Jones of Marco Supply Co., Charlotte, NC; and Mike Vetter of Schlosser Tool & Machinery Co., Denver, were named to the board of directors.
John Christy, Christy Associates, Orlando, FL, and Bob Stark, Stark Sales, Bell Gardens, CA, were elected to the Reps Liaison Committee.
Membership totals 2,611 companies, including 1,174 distributors, 1,107 associates, 312 reps and 16 publishing affiliates.
Elm Grove, WI-based STAFDA will begin offering one-day regional meetings this spring in Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas and Toronto. If popular with distributors, the program will be expanded in 2003.
