Bialas New President as SEFA Marks 35 Years

Joanne Bialas of International Fasteners is the new president of the Southeastern Fastener Association.

Outgoing president Ernie Pine of Ifastgroupe Distribution is chairman.

Bill Lama, Porteous Fasteners, is first vice president; Tony Nelson, Fastener Supply, is second vice president; and Daniel Stephens, Edsco Fasteners & Supply, is treasurer.

Board members are: Jim Dobbs, Metric & Multistandards; Jonathan Hodges, Southeastern Sales & Assoc.; Marty Morrison, Eagle Fastener & Supply; Ted Nieman, Stelfast Inc.; Nancy Orr, ND Industries; and Joe Pittman, Ameribolt.

SEFA marked its 35th anniversary with a slide show and introduction of nine former presidents during its “Past Presidents Reception.”

Former presidents attending were: 1984/85, Robbie Gilchrest, Capital Marketing; 1992/93, Rene Fernandez, Webb Bolt; 1993/94, Mickey Matheny, Northstar Sales & Marketing; 1999/2000, Mark Klosek, Vertex Distribution; 2000/01, Bill McIntyre; 2001/03, Brian Crouch, Fastener Associates; 2003/04, Mike Hart, Brighton Best; 2006/08 Daniel Stephens, Edsco Fasteners; and 2008/09, Glenn Goins, Southern Fasteners.

Retiring from the SEFA board are: Ed Ambrose, All South Sales, 20 years; Tony Adams, Metro Bolt, 10 years service;  and chairman Glenn Goins, Southern Fasteners.  Kathy Adams stepped aside as executive director last autumn after 20 years with SEFA.
