Birmingham Fastener and Supply Inc. announced the acquisition of the T-Bolt business from NSS Technologies, a subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corp. Terms were not disclosed.
NSS Technologies reportedly has provided waterworks T-bolts for over 30 years, but the company has transformed its business model from producing fasteners to providing net-shaped cold-formed products.
“We are proud to announce that the NSS commitment to quality and service lives on through Birmingham Fastener,” the company stated. “Birmingham Fastener will incorporate the NSS Standard, Cor-Blue and Anti-Rotation products to their already expansive line of Waterworks products.”
Birmingham Fastener recently joined the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA).
Founded in 1980 by CEO Howard Tinney, Birmingham Fastener manufactures and distributes T-head bolts, anchor bolts, rods and other components for the metal building, construction, utilities, aerospace, OEM and industrial markets. Based in Birmingham, AL, Birmingham Fasteners and its subsidiaries have 10 U.S. facilities. ©2010 GlobalFastenerNews.com
