Black & Decker Fastener Sales Grow on Auto Strength

Automotive division growth pushed Black & Decker’s fastener sales up 6% to 159.5 million during the third quarter of 2005, while segment profit rose 10% to $20.8 million.
Fastener revenue during the first nine months of 2005 grew 8% to $492.8 million, and profit gained 8.7% to $67.3 million despite overall raw material inflation.
