Black & Decker Fastener Sales Up 4%

Third quarter 2002 Fastening & Assembly Systems sales were up 4% from the same period a year ago, Black & Decker Corporation announced.
Black & Decker�s Q3 net earnings rose 46% to $77.2 million and corporate sales rose 4% to $1.08 billion. Sales rose 2% excluding the effects of foreign currency translation.
Black & Decker�s fastener segment, Emhart Teknologies, reported Q3 profit of $18.5 million on sales of $123.4 million.
