Carpenter Retiring from Barnes; Milzcik New CEO

Barnes Group Inc. named Gregory Milzcik, 46, as its CEO, succeeding Edmund Carpenter, who is retiring.\
“Greg is a proven leader with a record of superior performance in leading two of our three business units, Barnes Aerospace and Associated Spring,” stated board chairman Thomas Barnes.
Barnes also has a distribution business, which handles its fasteners.
Milzcik has been COO and board member for the past nine months. He left Lockheed Martin and joined Barnes Group in 1999 as vice president of Barnes Group Inc. and president of Barnes Aerospace.
Carpenter, who joined Barnes in 1998, will remain with the company through the end of 2006. �2006 FastenerNews.com
