The Naperville Fastener Association presented its first “Form, Fit & Function Award” to Eric Dudas of Fasteners Clearing House.
NFA was formed “casually” in 2014 by four industry veterans: Bob Baer, Abbott Interfast; Rich Covoto, Metric & Multistandard; Marty Nolan, RL English Co. and Eric Dudas, Fasteners Clearing House.
The honor is presented to an individual for integrity, character and a deep passion for the fastener industry. The honoree was chosen in April 2021 by regularly attending members Baer; Cavoto; George Hunt III, Brighton Best International; Kameron Dorsey, Beacon Fasteners; and Nolan; plus John Radel, Solution Industries; Tom Buddenbohn, Budd Sales Company; and Jim Sullivan, COB – Bass & Associates LLC.
NFA membership requirements include attending at least one gathering.
Nolan told GlobalFastenerNews.com that the group has “been gathering multiple times per year for several years but we do not have a formal charter or anything.”
Dudas conducts a podcast, Fully Threaded Radio, with Brian Musker, discussing fastener topics with fastener guests.
