Charter Headed Global With UK Acquisition

Wire and rod producer Charter Manufacturing is aiming to expand globally with the acquisition of Valve Train Components Ltd. of Lichfield, England. VTC supplies powertrain components and will become part of Charter’s Milwaukee Wire Products division.

“Our first European acquisition will allow us to further broaden our presence as a global supplier,” CEO John Mellowes explained. In addition to entering Europe Mellowes said VTC “complements our marketing and distribution efforts in Asia.”
