Chicago Rivet Fastener Sales Improve
Chicago Rivet & Machine Co. reported fastener segment revenue improved 15% to $4.74 million in the third quarter of 2009, compared to fastener sales in the previous quarter, “marking the second consecutive quarterly improvement.” However Q3 fastener sales were down 17% from the third quarter of 2008.
Chicago Rivet fastener sales have dropped 37% to $12.5 million during the first nine months of 2009.
“While domestic automotive production improved in the third quarter, there has been an overall 40% decline in the first nine months of the year,” the company stated.
Overall Q3 revenue declined 17.6% to $5.49 million, with a net loss of $245,814. ©2009 GlobalFastenerNews.com
