China Fastener Exports Down 43% in 2009

China exports of steel and copper fasteners dropped to 15 tons in October 2009, with the value dropping to $217.8 million, Xinhua News Agency reports.

Fastener exports from China have plunged 43.2% in the first ten months of 2009, with the value declining 47.8% to $1.96 billion.

Fastener producers in China have struggled this year as fastener tariffs by the European Union have curbed sales.
