China exports of steel and copper fasteners rose 22% to 190,000 tons during March, with the value growing 47% to US$279.3 million, Xinhua News Agency reports.

During the first three months of 2008 fastener exports from China flatlined at 570,000 tons, while the value gained 16% to US$821.4 million. The figures included results from February, when fastener exports dropped 8.3% to 150,000 tons.

During 2007 fastener exports from China jumped 24% to 2.59 million tons, with the value gaining 37% to US$3.34 billion. �2008 FastenerNews.com
