China Fastener Output Jumps in 2011

China’s output of metal fasteners reached around 4.6 million tons in the first 11 months of 2011, according to statistics from ASKCI.

Zhejiang province was the leading fastener producer, totaling 1.68 million tons from January through November. Other substantial fastener producing provinces included Hebei (876,493 tons), Jiangsu (572,007 tons), Shandong (295,550 tons), Shanghai (288,550 tons), and Guangdong (143,105 tons) during the period.

Top producing provinces in November included Zhejiang (144,555 tons), Hebei (99,338 tons), Jiangsu (52,895 tons), and Shanghai (27,546 tons).
