China Metal Fastener Output Tops 5m Tons

China’s metal fastener output reached an estimated 5.085 million in the first 11 months of 2012, ChinaFastener.Info reports.

Based on its monthly average for the first half of 2012, China’s production increased by 3.5% in the second half of 2012.

China’s fastener output in November reached 500,638 tons.

For the January – November period, Zhejiang province was the leading fastener producer, totaling 1.79 million ton — 35% of China’s overall fastener production.

Rounding out the top fastener-producing regions for the 11-month period were Hebei (973,420 tons); Jiangsu (438,131 tons); Sichuan (433,494 tons); Shangdong (394,628 tons); and Shanghai (231,179 tons), according to ChinaFastener.Info.

China’s metal fastener output reached an estimated 2,679,669.29 tons in the first six months of 2012. 

In 2011 Zhejiang province was the leading producer, with 1.83 million tons — about 37% of the overall total. ©2013 GlobalFastenerNews.com
